How Gmail organization works
- 1. Connect Gmail. Sign in with Google and grant Inebly access to the mailbox you want organized.
- 2. Run a scan. Inebly reads sender, subject, date and a short preview of recent messages.
- 3. Review the AI's plan. Each message gets a category, a confidence score, a recommended action (keep, label, archive, trash) and a plain-English explanation.
- 4. Approve. Inebly then applies InboxPilot/<Category> labels, archives, or moves mail to Gmail's Trash — only for what you approved. Protected senders are never touched.
Google Calendar event detection
While analyzing your mail, Inebly looks for genuine events — meetings, bookings, flights, appointments, webinars — and extracts the title, date and time, location and any meeting URL.
- Detected events wait for you in the Events page with status DETECTED.
- Approve one and choose which Google Calendar it goes to.
- Duplicate-safe: an approved event is only ever created once.
- Inebly never creates a calendar event automatically.

The permissions we ask for
You connect Gmail and Google Calendar separately, and you can revoke either at any time. Your email and calendar data is only ever visible to you, behind your login.
- Read your Gmail messages and metadata — So Inebly can read sender, subject, date, and a short preview to categorize each message and detect events.
- Apply labels, archive, and move messages to trash — Only performed on messages you explicitly approve. Nothing is permanently deleted — trashed mail stays in Gmail's Trash.
- Create and manage labels — To create the InboxPilot/<Category> labels used for organization.
- Create calendar events — To add an event to the calendar you choose, only after you approve a detected event.
- View your calendar list — So you can pick which calendar approved events are added to.
- Your email address and basic profile — To identify your account and show which mailbox is connected.
