What permissions we ask for

Inebly only requests the Google permissions it needs to do the work you asked for. You connect Gmail and Google Calendar separately, and you can decline or revoke either one at any time.

Read your Gmail messages and metadata

gmail.readonly

So Inebly can read sender, subject, date, and a short preview to categorize each message and detect events.

Apply labels, archive, and move messages to trash

gmail.modify

Only performed on messages you explicitly approve. Nothing is permanently deleted — trashed mail stays in Gmail's Trash.

Create and manage labels

gmail.labels

To create the InboxPilot/<Category> labels used for organization.

Create calendar events

calendar.events

To add an event to the calendar you choose, only after you approve a detected event.

View your calendar list

calendar.readonly

So you can pick which calendar approved events are added to.

Your email address and basic profile

userinfo.email / profile

To identify your account and show which mailbox is connected.

How we handle your data

Email content used for analysis is limited to sender, subject, date and a short preview. Results (category, confidence, recommendation, explanation) are stored against your account and are readable only by you — every table is protected by row-level security keyed to your user ID.

Inebly never sends email, never deletes mail permanently, and never performs an archive, label, trash, or calendar action without your explicit approval. Trashed messages remain recoverable in Gmail's Trash.

You can disconnect Gmail or Google Calendar in Settings at any time, or revoke access directly from your Google Account's third-party access page. Questions: privacy@inebly.app.
